Nokomis is a census-designated place (CDP) in Sarasota County, Florida, United States. The population was 3,167 at the 2010 census. It is part of the Bradenton-Sarasota-Venice Metropolitan Statistical Area.The Nokomis mailing address includes Casey Key, a barrier island to the northwest of the CDP along the Gulf of Mexico, where there are beachfront houses worth millions of dollars lining the key. Casey Key is not part of any CDP.
